Overview
After the pandemic, we are increasingly switching to remote or hybrid work. Unfortunately, neither our apartments nor housing estates are adapted to these functions. This not only causes irritation, but also deepens our sense of isolation — we lack contact with colleagues and often don’t know our neighbors well either.

Situation
People want to know their neighbors, but at the same time they do not have the opportunity, time or space to make such connections.

Key takeaways
Residential areas must support well-being, flexibility, and shared experiences.
Residents meet most new people through work and value neighborly familiarity mainly for a sense of safety.
They prefer informal, spontaneous interactions and services they can access on their own terms, over structured community involvement.
Our main client is the resident who needs a practical space that meets their needs

Solution
In order to address the problem of not knowing one's neighbors, but at the same time give residents the opportunity to meet people on their own terms, we proposed creating a coworking space near their estate with the possibility of renting for events. For the project's profitability, a cafe was added to its functionality. The product would come with a mobile app which makes it easier to book space and build a community

User Experience
Having the idea in mind I conducted benchmarking research and identified pros and cons on apps serving to similar purpose. Additionally, using personas, I created user flows.
What I did:
Benchamarking
User Flows
Wireframing
Usability Testing
I presented 4 main screens (in two variants) to 6 people. Half matched the criteria for the target users. The other half did not, as I wanted to broaden my perspective with feedback from outside the target group as well.

Update
I have collected all the comments - which solutions they prefer, what they lack. I have included the comments in the new project.

UI Design
After improving the wireframes, I took care of the visual side of the project. I wanted the colors and typography to be both professional and friendly. The font had to be legible and inviting.
